Develop a closer collaboration to enhance the postgraduate studies at Ain Shams University Cairo (ASU) towards a market-oriented education in the water sector; Exchange ideas about industry involvement and development of applied research hubs at the universities, including administrative issues (career guidance centre, research office etc.) Enhance the PGs education in the water sector by developing/remodelling new/existent syllabus/curriculum; Renew and strengthen the practical training by using a market-oriented approach; Modernize the lab infrastructure (specifically the hydraulic engineering lab) with the focus on repair and maintenance being assisted by specialised personnel from the HTWD; Introduce enhanced/automated data monitoring equipment (e.g. data loggers) to acquaint students with the application of state of the art techniques.
